NEWS/Assi El Hellani New Album

After being successful for more than 25 years, people always waited for his new songs and were sure that they will be hits on the market. Someone called Assi El Hellani, the man for this generation's Lebanese popular songs. Of course, he likes to focus on many types of music without losing the folk touch that had made him very successful in the first place.

"Ya Nom" is the 2013's Album for Assi El Hellani. It is quite like his earlier songs with blank dialect and Bedouin style. This artist is really doing good music and makes us proud for being Arabs and especially Lebanese. His lovely character can be felt in his new songs. The new album has 14 tracks: "Ya nom, Waddi Ya Bahr, Weynak Habibi, Ya Assii, Aman, Sa3bi El Mar7ala, Ana LaLa, Hanni W Ghanni, Wayni, Ya Teir, La Weyn Trouh, Ya Sayidi, Mili B3abaki, and La."

Despite his soaring popularity, Helani has remained consistently involved in humanitarian issues. He regularly performs at fund-raising concerts throughout the Middle East in support of a range of charities in the region, including the Women's Development Association Hayati. In August 2005, Helani added his voice to the growing roster of celebrities helping WFP raise awareness about global hunger and poverty, recording a Public Service Announcement drawing attention to the tragic fact that 25,000 people die of hunger every day, 18,000 of them children.

Helani’s recent music video has earned him the reputation as an extremely talented actor. He is receiving numerous offers from Arab producers and directors for leading roles in different films and television series. And he was chosen to be an ambassador of goodwill by the UN. We wish Assi El Hellani all luck in his 19th album, and will wait for the up-coming event for this prominent artist, which will be New Years Eve with Haifa Wehbe and the legend Bassem Feghali in Beirut, Lebanon.
